One of my favorite photographs of my daughter as a baby is her sitting on a little bench in my office studio right in Boston. I love her serious face and the direct eye contact. Photographing a baby at that age is actually fairly easy, they are not as likely to move and they are interested in fun little toys that I can prop near my camera. Fast forward one year and you have a very mobile toddler, that does not like to sit as still and is not as interested in little baby gadgets placed near my camera. Still I thought it would be interesting to put her in the same outfit and on the same bench so I can marvel over how much and quickly my little baby had grown into a full-fledged toddler on the brink of actual childhood. I had the outfit in a larger size, and think I will make this a yearly tradition.
